Creating Pathways to Hope and Opportunity
HELTO Valentine Outreach February 14, 2023
On February 14, 2023, HELTO Foundation brought the true spirit of love to life with an unforgettable outreach for children aged 3 to 15 years in the Igando community.
It was a heartwarming day filled with laughter, learning, and love. We shared school bags, writing materials, and food with the children ,simple gifts that lit up many faces with joy.
The event also featured competitions and a talent hunt, where the children showcased their brilliance and creativity. Two exceptional 15-year-old boys were awarded tuition scholarships (paid directly to Igando Grammar School), while the third-place winner received a ₦10,000 cash prize for his outstanding performance.
That day, the community felt seen and heard ,as though light had entered Igando. The Baale of the community expressed deep gratitude and gave his royal blessings, commending HELTO Foundation for bringing hope and love to his people.
It was truly a Valentine’s Day to remember ,a day that brightened hearts, uplifted dreams, and reminded us all that love in action changes lives.
Street-to-School Initiative
Across Nigeria, thousands of children spend their days hawking goods instead of attending school. Through the Street-to-School Initiative, we identify these children, provide access to education, and support them academically or vocationally based on their abilities and interests.
Our approach includes:
- Enrolling children in formal or vocational education programs
- Providing school supplies, uniforms, and mentorship
- Offering psychosocial support and child protection guidance
